The CA18 has been getting a fair bit of blowby in recent months (hence the addition of the catch can), and the rings in #4 cylinder finally gave way a month or so ago. There is also damage to the piston and the bore is scored, so I have sourced another engine to be rebuilt as a replacement.

All this after only a week of being on the road from getting the latest panel damage fixed! Ah well, these things happen. Expect more images during the new engine build, expected to take place over the next couple of weeks.
